Portside Policies and Procedures

Welcome aboard! Before you drop anchor in our chair, take a minute to read through how we keep things fair, clean, and chill for everyone.

• All deposits are nonrefundable, unless your artist cancels (without rescheduling).
• If your appointment needs to be rescheduled by either you or the artist, your deposit will roll over and stay applied to your tattoo no matter how late the reschedule is.
• Your deposit only becomes forfeited if you cancel completely and do not plan to move forward with the tattoo, or you No Call No Show.

• If you need to reschedule, reach out to your artist as soon as you can. Life happens, and we get it
• If you cancel entirely, your deposit is forfeited.
• Multiple reschedules may require a fresh deposit at your artist’s discretion.

• If you ghost your appointment, your deposit becomes ours. No refunds, no carryovers.
• To book again, you will need to put down a new deposit for your next appointment.
• Habitual No-Shows may mean you get fired as a client.

• You must be 18 years or older with valid government-issued ID for tattoos.
• For piercings, minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with matching government-issued IDs and any required consent forms. (we can print and notarize in the shop for an additional fee)
• Minor piercings are approved at the discretion of the piercer and depend on location:
• Earlobes: no younger than 4 years old
• Most other piercings: 15 years and older
• Anything else, ask first. We reserve the right to say no if it is not appropriate or safe for the client’s age.
   

• As a general rule, we do not accept cards. Most common money-transfer apps are accepted, and cash is always welcome (and preferred by most artists).
• That said, some artists may use a personal card reader. 
• Payment methods vary by artist, so it is up to the client and artist to discuss and confirm the payment method before the appointment.
  No surprises, no awkward wallet moments.
• If you receive a tattoo and do not pay, that is theft of services, and we will contact law enforcement immediately. Do not test it, we would all rather keep the day drama-free.

• Custom tattoo designs are usually shown the day of your appointment, unless your artist arranges otherwise.
• We will make tweaks in person to be sure everything fits your body just right.

• If you are sick, reschedule. Please do not bring your germs to the party.
• We follow all Florida health department regulations, keep everything sterile, and take safety seriously.

• Our artists and piercers have the right to refuse any design, placement, or service that does not align with their comfort, ethics, or professional judgment.
• If your idea is not a match, we will help you find someone who is better suited. No hard feelings.
